Guy Mason

Guy is the founding and Senior Pastor of City on a Hill, a church that began in 2007 with a small team and a big vision. Today City on a Hill is a movement of many churches that gathers across multiple locations, in different cities and is united around the central mission of knowing Jesus and making Jesus known. Guy is a passionate communicator of the gospel who is committed to engaging culture with the beauty, truth, and relevance of Jesus. Guy graduated with a BA in Public Relations from RMIT University, has a Masters of Divinity from Ridley College and is currently completing a Doctorate of Ministry with Wheaton College. He is the husband to Vanessa and the father to four children. He is an ordained Anglican Minister and serves as an Archdeacon in the Diocese of Melbourne.

Ian Scarborough

Ian serves as the Executive Pastor & COO at City on a Hill and oversees the shared operations and ministries across the City on a Hill Movement. Before full-time ministry Ian held senior management roles in the allied health and disability service industries, and worked as a physiologist in the rehabilitation and corporate health fields. Ian has degrees in science from Wollongong University, studied theology at Moore College, and is currently studying an MBA in Social Impact (UNSW). Ian is married to Lisa, and they have three children.

Dave May

Dave is the Communications & Creative Director for City on a Hill. He is passionate about seeing creatives serve Christ with their craft and using media to communicate the gospel. He has a Diploma in Graphic Design and Bachelor of Theology at Ridley College. Prior to City on a Hill he designed album artworks and myspace layouts for a living. He is married and has three kids. To unwind he enjoys baking sourdough, running, spending time with his family and making coffee.

Jessica Bui

Jessica is the Services and Events Manager at City on a Hill. She is passionate about people having transformative experiences of the Gospel through events, and loves serving Jesus through singing. Jess loves being near water and will find any excuse to be at the beach. She is married to Alex and loves her cat Gracie. Jess has a Bachelor of Business Admin specialising in Event Management and particularly loves using her skills for the furthering of the Kingdom.

Matt Keller

Matt is the Director of our Next Generation ministries. As such, each week he experiences the joy of investing in the health, unity and growth of our children’s and youth ministry volunteers and staff. Matt is an ordained Anglican minister who has been involved in kids and youth work for around 25 years, and still feels he has the greatest job in the world. He also loves reading, watching movies, playing basketball and surfing with his children Anastasia, Xander and Mali and spending time with his wife Emilie.

Mel Brown

Melissa is the Living Room Coordinator for Many Rooms. She is passionate about helping people connect and loves to see new relationships grow. Her favorite room in her house is the Living Room because it’s a place of life, love and community.

Mel loves a good coffee and a great conversation in a nice cafe. Also, she loves relaxing on the beach watching her children build sandcastles and play in the water. Mel is married to Steve and together with their three children, they attend City on a Hill Geelong. Mel has a BComm and a MDiv but it was so long ago that she really can’t remember much of either!

Nick Coombs

Nick is the Lead Pastor of City on a Hill Melbourne East. He loves Jesus, is passionate about connecting deep theology with everyday life, and eager to make a difference in the time he has by helping plant as many churches as possible. After Jesus, Nick loves his wife Jules, and his two kids, Axel and Aria. He holds an MDiv from Ridley College, is an ordained Anglican minister and gives too much of his time to fantasy sports.

Joel Deacon

Joel Deacon is the Lead Pastor of City on a Hill Wollongong. He is firmly convinced that we are designed for community, especially in a big and sometimes lonely city like Wollongong. Before becoming a pastor, Joel worked as a Civil Engineer and is always up for a chat about roads and bridges. But his greatest passion is talking to people about Jesus. Joel is married to Emma, and they have three kids Elijah, Isaac and Lily. An ideal day off for Joel would include coffee with his wife, smelling flowers with his daughter, wrestling with his boys, reading, and staying up late to watch EPL.

Dom Macaluso

Dom is the Multimedia Specialist for City on a Hill. Like a wild peacock, Macaluso flaunts a vivid display of coloured skin, donning the coveted crown of ‘Most Tattooed Staff Member’ seven years running. Despite his wild temperament, he has a robust love for Jesus and people. He is the husband to Megan and father to Luca. Other accomplishments include accidentally washing Ozzy Osbourne’s underwear, and one time fumbling over his words calling Matt Chandler ‘an elephant’.

Deborah Ng

Deb is the Children’s Minister at City on a Hill Ballarat and the City Kids Teaching Minister for the City on a Hill Movement. She is deeply passionate about bringing the Bible to life for young people – God’s holy word is full of truth and light! She is married to Gerald and is mum to Levi and Savy. Originally from Singapore, Deb met Gerald in Perth as uni students, got married, said goodbye to the world’s most beautiful beaches and moved to Melbourne before settling in Ballarat. While in Perth, Deb obtained her Masters in Divinity and led the youth ministry at their church.

Zac Hodgkinson

Zac is a Video Producer for City on a Hill. Zac loves people and evangelism – and coordinating our amazing team of volunteer creatives at church allows him to spend time on both! He is husband to MeiMei, Father to Enoch, Son-in-law to Mina – and they all live in the proud suburb of Werribee with their cat Bach. Bach is the number 1 best cat.

Hayley Bell

Hayley is the Administration Coordinator for Church Planting and for the Living Room. She enjoys providing support to volunteers and staff, and hearing testimonies of Jesus at work in their service and ministries.

Hayley is married to Josh and together they enjoy long hikes and bike rides around Melbourne.

Megan Macaluso

Megan is the City Kids Coordinator at City on a Hill Geelong, and the Regional City Kids Advisor for the City on a Hill movement. Before working on staff for City on a Hill, Megan studied Child and Adolescent Development and taught for seven years as a Christian Kinder Teacher. She and her husband Dom moved from California to Melbourne in 2012. Although they had only planned to be in Melbourne for a few years, they joined the City on a Hill staff team and never wanted to leave. Dom, Megan and their son Luca enjoy time at the beach, the pool, and anywhere else they can swim and bathe in the sun. But most of all, Megan loves to teach the good news of Jesus to younger children praying that they might know Him as their Saviour, Friend and King.

Monty Winter

Monty serves as the Administration Coordinator in Geelong as well as the Living Room Coordinator for the Geelong region. She is passionate about caring for the isolated and lonely. Being Mexican, she firmly believes in community and that good connections soothe the soul. Monty enjoys having meaningful conversations about who Jesus is, and loves this part of her role. When not working at church you might find her nursing animals as a veterinary technologist.

Kerri-Lee Corkery

Kerri-Lee is the City Kids Coordinator at City on a Hill Melbourne East, and the Regional City Kids Advisor for the City on a Hill movement. She loves working with children and partnering alongside parents to help disciple their children’s hearts. Kerri has always worked with kids from the age of 13 when she started teaching piano. She is married to Marshall and together they have five children, four girls – Dayna, Taylah, Hailey and Sienna and then God finally blessed them with a boy, Jaxson. With the blessing of so many children, Kerri felt the call to be a big part of how kids are taught about Jesus on Sundays in a way that is fun, engaging, and deep. Outside of children’s ministry, Kerri loves to play the piano when her kids give her a chance to do so. She loves playing basketball and the beach is her favourite place to spend time with God.

Pinky Cheung

Pinky serves as the Living Room Volunteers Coordinator. She loves connecting people and seeing communities grow. Her passion is to see people’s lives change as they pursue God and experience His grace and goodness. She has worked as a hospital pharmacist but is now pursuing a Master in Law at Monash University. Pinky enjoys travelling, but the most frequently visited city is Adelaide where she grew up and where her family lives. When she is not spending time with her friends, she is found curled up in bed watching animal documentaries.

Tracey Fong

Tracey serves as a Graphic Designer for the City on a Hill Movement, where she hopes to use her creativity to help others “Know Jesus and Make Jesus Known.” She’s married to James, and is a proud mum to three wonderful kids and a whippet named Miley. When she’s not pushing pixels, she’s likely wrangling kids or trying (and occasionally failing) not to hoard more fish tanks and houseplants.

Peter Hill

Peter is the Finance Director at City on a Hill and maintains oversight and stewardship of the financial resources of each church and ministry. Peter is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants ANZ and is particularly passionate about using his skill and experience in Financial and Management Accounting to resource the local church and facilitate church planting. Peter and his wife Taylor are active members at City on a Hill Brisbane, serving in a wide range of ministries including music, youth and Gospel Community leading. In Peter’s spare time he enjoys watching Ice Hockey and going for long drives.

Casey Aguero

Casey is the Financial Controller supporting the health and integrity of all City on a Hill churches and ministries and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Casey has previously worked in various accounting and tax roles, but in 2017 she joined the City on a Hill finance team with the aim of using her God-given financial skills to help better resource the people and ministries of City on a Hill. Together, Casey and her wonderful husband Emilio also serve as Gospel Community Leaders for Melbourne, with the help of their two beautiful children, Josiah and Charlotte.

Alyce Supek

Alyce serves as the HR Manager & Executive Assistant for the City on a Hill movement. With a passion for seeing people transformed by the truth of the Gospel and engaged in church community through serving, Alyce loves the opportunity she has to lead many teams and projects across the movement. Alyce also works as a registered nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and is addicted to Grey’s Anatomy. Alyce and her husband, David, have a beautiful daughter (Norah) and a cheeky red heeler (Rusty).

Wesley Chia

Wesley is the Director of Operations at City on a Hill Melbourne and the Project Manager for City on a Hill. He focuses on strategy, leadership, operations, finance, metrics and ensuring that things are running smoothly. When not bothering people in the office with another West Wing analogy, he spends his time with his wife Heidi chasing their rambunctious young son Austin around and winning his NFL fantasy football league.

Maté Zahtila

Maté has been attending City on a Hill Melbourne since 2019 and serves faithfully on the Logistics team. He joined the City on a Hill Movement team with management experience in the corporate and social sectors, where he felt a deep calling to use his gifts to lift up the church. He can be found cycling on Beach Rd on Saturday mornings, sharing a cappuccino with his wife, Lauryn.

Andrew Godfrey

Andrew serves as the Safeguarding, Risk & Compliance Manager for City on a Hill. He oversees all elements of ministry safeguarding. This includes protocols for ministry to children, workplace health and safety, risk management, privacy, complaints management, professional standards matters and anything else that involves secular or church law.

Andrew is passionate about seeing God’s kingdom grow and is excited to play his part in building up the body of Christ. He is dad to Emily and Benji and in his spare time enjoys building things and reading science fiction.

Barbara Pianto

Barbara is the Finance Officer for the City on a Hill Movement. She is married to Steve and mother of Jacob, Natalie, Alisha and Emily.

Steve Murray

Steve is the IT Coordinator for City on a Hill, having previously held the role of Live Video Coordinator at City on a Hill, when Live Video was the future, man. Steve has over 25 years IT experience within Education, Healthcare, Legal, Banking and Government, as well as an unheralded second career in TV and film, making coffee for semi-famous people who didn’t know who he was and why he was there.

Father to Kayla and Samuel and husband to Debra, Steve and his family have been attending City on a Hill Melbourne since 2010, and have decided to stay.

Outside of church, Steve loves film, writing, travelling with his family, and watching sport from a safe distance.

Alena Smith

Alena is an Accountant at City on a Hill Movement and together with her family attends City on a Hill Brisbane. She is married to Nathan and is a mother to two boys. When she’s not taking the boys to see power tools at Bunnings, building duplo worlds or playing guitars with her mini budding guitarists, she loves baking, gardening or a good chat about theology.

James serves as the Church Facilities Manager for the City on a Hill Movement. With a background in maintenance, manufacturing, and trade, he’s passionate about using his skills and gifts to support churches across the movement. When he’s not spending time with his family, you’ll find him reading, enjoying the outdoors, or making something interesting. James is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Ministry at Ridley College. He is a proud husband to Rachel and father to three wonderful children.
