Welcome
Welcome to the City on a Hill Conference! Together, with men and women from across the country, we will gather around God’s Word to spur each other on and lift up the name of Jesus.
This is a great moment to strengthen our community, deepen our faith and grow in our love for the Lord and His kingdom. I’m praying for you and asking that God will set hearts on fire by his Holy Spirit as we explore the theme of revival and seek a powerful move of God in our day.
I can’t wait to see you as we kick-off the City on a Hill Conference on July 4th!

Praying in Colour
Praying in Colour
Praying in colour is a fun and powerful prayer tool for everyone seeking to enrich their contemplative prayer life. You will learn practical techniques to stay focussed and go deeper in your relationship with God. It is not just for the “arty types”! The workshop leader is not an artist, you needn’t be either!
Revival and the Poor
Compassion
Revival and the Poor
Revival is often regarded as a period of rekindled spiritual commitment among Christians and a fervent passion for advancing God’s kingdom. This phenomenon affects people within the church, whole neighbourhoods, and nations. Moreover, revival often leads to increased attention to the needs of the less fortunate, such as orphans and widows and the economically challenged, and it inspires efforts to help the poor.
Explore how spiritual revival and social justice can work hand in hand to uplift the marginalised and underserved in the nations. Discover how reviving faith and compassion can ignite positive change and empower those in need. Together, let’s envision a future where revival transforms hearts and lifts up the least among us.
Gospel Social Skills 101
Gospel Social Skills 101
What if talking about Jesus wasn’t weird, ikky, or combative? In this workshop, we’ll practice how to have natural spiritual conversations where the focus is on relating, connecting, and inviting opportunities to explain the faith. This is gospel social skills 101 in a post-Christian culture.
Sharing Jesus at Work
Sharing Jesus at Work
Apologetics. Evangelism. We may not feel like these are appropriate faith practices to bring into the workplace, but what if our gospel-shaped lives caused others to lean into the hope of Jesus? What questions might we ask to dive deeper? When it comes to sharing our faith and introducing people to Jesus, we can often see it as something good and even necessary, but a great challenge to do naturally. In this breakout, we explore how to defend the Gospel faithfully and consistently in our busy lives.
So You Want to Go Into Ministry
Ridley
So You Want to Go Into Ministry
Are you interested in working in ministry? Curious about what opportunities might be available to you? Come chat with Ridley College faculty and current students to hear about how you can be equipped for ministry in whatever context the Lord has placed you. We’ll discuss how theological study can equip you to be God’s hands and feet in both Christian and secular contexts, and we’ll show you how theological study can be flexible, approachable, exciting, and transformative!
Intro to the Holy Spirit
Youth Breakout
Intro to the Holy Spirit
As we consider Revival, we want our hearts to be stirred by the Spirit so we experience the new life He gives! Come along to this break out session to be encouraged and equipped by Brisbane’s Jimmy Jensen before we begin a series on the Holy Spirit following Conference.
Session 2 – 3.30pm
Compelling Missional Life
Compelling Missional Life
Henry Blackably said “find where God is working and join Him in it”.. Jesus sent out the 72 looking for people of peace to share the gospel of the Kingdom. But what does is look like to do things today? How do we find where God is working? How are we to seek out the people of peace? How are we to live on mission with God and “Go and make disciples?”
This breakout is for stories, strategies and seeing how we can be deliberate disciples in seeking to to make Jesus known.”
Revival and the Skeptic
Revival and the Skeptic
Revival is a topic that has been talked about a lot over the past few centuries. Sometimes it is hard to know what to think about revival or how to feel. Should we pray for revival? Should we expect revival? Are revivals always a good thing? Is revival possible in our day?
This is a seminar for the doubtful, the confused and the curious. A chance to unpack the questions we may have but aren’t quite sure if we are allowed to ask…
Spirit Lead Me
Spirit Lead Me
Join Joel Deacon (Wollongong Lead Pastor) and Anna Simon (Missionary from Hungary) in learning practically how to do spirit-led walk up evangelism. This breakout will help you to lean in and listen to where the Spirit is guiding you, and then get a chance to practically outwork it on the street.
Bible For You, Bible For Others
Bible Society
Bible For You, Bible For Others
The Bible is the enduring word of God. In this session, we would love to invite you to see, touch and hear the stories on some of our precious antique Bibles and the impact the Bible continues to have in our world. It has withstood generations, societies, cultures, wars, reformations and revivals.
Is it time we open the Bible? 51% of the world’s languages have no Scripture in their language, whilst millions of others face barriers that stop them having access to the Bible. Come hear from Bible Society Australia as we share how we are helping remove these barriers throughout Australia, Oceania and Asia and receive your own New Beginnings Bible to give to a friend to help Open The Bible for other’s in your world.
