Acts 29 Network

Guy Mason and Andrew Grills are members of the Acts 29 church–planting network. Over the last ten years Acts 29 has helped plant upwards of 400 churches around the world. The Mission of Acts 29 is to band together Christian, Evangelical, Missional and Reformed churches, which, for the sake of Jesus and the gospel, plant new churches and replant dead and dying churches across the United States and the world.

This work is done in obedience to the great commission (Matthew 28:18–20), with the goal of seeing millions of lives changed by the power of the gospel. The president of Acts 29 is Matt Chandler (Village Church).

An Authorised Anglican Congregation

In October 2010, City on a Hill received its licence as an Authorised Anglican Congregation in the Diocese of Melbourne. Prior to this time it was part of St. James Old Cathedral (West Melbourne), where it was birthed in October 2007.

Anglican churches can be found around the world and are diverse in style, expression and mission. The Fundamental Declarations of the 1961 Constitution of the Anglican Church of Australia outline our central commitments and identity:

  1. The Anglican Church of Australia, being part of the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church of Christ, holds the Christian Faith as professed by the Church from primitive times and in particular as set forth in the creeds known as the Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed.
  2. This Church receives all the canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being the ultimate rule and standard of faith given by the inspiration of God and containing all things necessary for salvation.
  3. This Church will ever obey the commands of Christ, teach His doctrine, administer His sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, follow His discipline and preserve the three orders of bishops, priests and deacons in the sacred ministry.
