Women’s Discipleship Minister

City on a Hill Brisbane

Applications closed Monday 29th November 2021

City on a Hill began with a small team and a big vision to make a difference in our world for the glory of God. Since our inception in Melbourne in 2007, we have witnessed a remarkable work of God’s grace as he has united hundreds of men and women around the mission of ‘knowing Jesus and making Jesus known’. City on a Hill is now a movement of churches meeting across eight locations in five cities – including Brisbane, a church that began in 2016 and is now a community of over 400 people.

While our story is characterised by constant change and growth, we have maintained an enduring commitment to Christ and his call on our lives in this generation. We are committed to raising up gospel-hearted leaders, building healthy churches, which will reach and serve cities with the gospel of Jesus.

The Women’s Discipleship Minister will exercise significant leadership and teaching amongst the women of City on a Hill Brisbane. She will be responsible for setting the culture and building, growing, and strengthening a variety of women’s ministries within City on a Hill Brisbane. This role is a part-time paid position, equivalent to 2 days per week, and will report to the Lead Pastor of City on a Hill Brisbane.

The Women’s Discipleship Minister will exercise leadership and coordination as she raises up leaders, discerns and casts vision, equips and empowers church members, particularly women, to know Jesus and make Jesus known. She will collaborate with the Lead Pastor and the Community Pastor at City on a Hill Brisbane in developing resilient, faithful disciples. This part-time position has flexible hours spread throughout the week, with at least one day working in the same location as the City on a Hill Brisbane staff team.
