Gospel Communities are all about knowing Jesus and making Jesus known. They are communities of people centred on knowing, believing and living out the implications of the gospel together as a family in the day-to-day and the extraordinary.
They are communities in which people are deeply known and loved, communities transformed by the God of the gospel, and communities inspired to share the good news of Jesus with the people around them. They are communities that are committed to growing both in numbers and in maturity.
Gospel Communities regularly meet to enjoy meals together, study the bible, disciple one another, as well look outward for opportunities to serve, bless and reach their broader neighbourhood or network with the gospel.
At City on a Hill we have two types of Gospel Communities:
At City on a Hill we love and welcome families of all shapes and sizes. Our rapidly expanding City Kids program, run by a team of trained volunteers, is designed to provide a fun and interactive environment to explore and grow in the Bible. We offer this great program for children of all ages at all our morning services.
Recognising the importance of a loving and God–centred family, we have developed family Gospel Communities, where families can enjoy friendships and support, as well as a range of fun social activities. Complementing this, City on a Hill provides various courses and events in an effort to care for, support and educate parents and families.
Our growing Youth ministry provides opportunity for high school students to learn about Jesus and get on board with His mission in the world.
In addition to our Sunday services, we offer Gospel Communitys and a Friday night youth program.
City on a Hill’s youth have established an important presence within Melbourne and Geelong's high schools. Youth are given the opportunity to spend quality time with our youth leaders through sporting activities, studies and breakfast programs.
